Thoothukudi:
Sterlite Copper organized a free medical camp at Inigo Nagar, Tuticorin here on
Tuesday.
As
part of Sterlite’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the field
of health, various medical camps are being conducted in different parts of the
district regularly. One such medical camp was organized in the city on Tuesday.
The
camp was inaugurated by Mr.K.Pankaj, Vice President – Operations, Sterlite
Copper in the presence of Mr.Gnayam Romalt, All India Fishermen Association and
Father Rajesh, Parish Priest, Inigo Nagar.
More
than 200 families benefitted from the camp and the participants were screened
by a team of doctors under the supervision of Dr.Kailasam, Chief Medical
Officer, Sterlite.
During
the camp, urine test, diabetic test, blood pressure test and ECG were carried
out on the participants and free medicines were distributed to those who
suffered from various physical ailments.

Bose, Associate Vice President – Human Resources, Mr.Selvasankar, General
Manager – Projects and employees of Sterlite including Mrs. J Judy Fernando,
Mrs.Maria George Ramona, Mr.John Carton, Mr.James Dulles, Mr.Sahaya Alex, Mr.C
Aldrin, Ms.Sahaya Xavier Jancy and Mr.R Canisius participated during the event.
