Tuticorin : Sterlite Copper has been ranked the 4th Best employer of the year 2012-13 among the top
ten companies in India during the annual event organised by the World HRD
Congress recently at Mumbai.
Sterlite Copper also bagged the
prestigious ’Global HR Excellence Award for Innovative HR practices’ during the
programme. Mr.Lyonpo Dorji Wangdi, Minister for Labour and Human Resources,
Government of Bhutan presented the award to Mr.Suresh Bose, Head – Human
Resources and Mr.M.Sakthivel, General Manager – Human Resources, Sterlite
Copper.
Sterlite also received awards in other
categories including Best Overall Recruiting and Staffing
organization of the year, Best Recruiting Evaluation Technique, Talent
Management and Excellence in HR through Technology.
After several rounds of filtration and regional round
presentation, Sterlite was called for making final presentation before the jury
comprising of exemplary leaders in HR & other business leaders who decided
to present the awards to Sterlite for the above mentioned categories. Around
150 companies including TCS, Infosys, HCL, NTPC, Shipping Corporation of India,
Mahindra Infrastructure etc competed for the awards in various categories.
Employer Branding Institute is a virtual organization where
exemplary leaders in HR connect in the cyber space to share the best practices
